Bishop Gore GCSE Art students (year 10) attended practical based  
Workshops at the Dynevor Centre, Swansea Metropolitan University on 18th December 2013.
Pupils had the opportunity to develop skills in Textile -Surface Pattern and Computer Graphics.

The pupils generated really successful process work and   it gave them an insight into the type of courses that the University had to offer.

“I developed skills in fabric transfer printing, a technique I could use in my project for GCSE” Jasmine

“I was so impressed with the work of textile and illustration students, it has inspired me” Caitlin.

“After the group spoke to past Degree students, pupils understood the importance of doing well in their GCSEs to help them achieve goals in Higher Education and later to support employment opportunities” Mrs Tiley

There will be other workshops running in the future.

All in all a successful day, the pupils' attitude and enthusiasm was commendable.
