We are incredibly proud to have been chosen as the main case study for Her Majesty's Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales', (ESTYN) Annual Report, 2014-2015.

We were joined by BBC Wales Today and ITV's Megan Boot, who reported on the Annual Report.   Chief Inspector of Education in Wales, Meilyr Rowlands, says there is a 'big difference' between the best schools and those that are struggling.

Bishop Gore School was filmed as a 'Sector Leading' secondary school and were asked how we make our curriculum challenging, otherwise known as...C2012.

There is a big difference between the best schools and those that are struggling. To close the gap with the best, schools need to continue to focus on the basics and also take a fresh look at teaching and learning experiences – what is taught, and how it is taught and assessed. Teachers and leaders need to be imaginative in the classroom and embrace the challenge to share and learn from the best.

– Chief Inspector Meilyr Rowlands
