In the event of your child being unable to attend school, please inform the school via the following method...........

Please telephone the Absence Line 610412 before 9.30 am to report your child's absence.

The school operates an automated calling system which sends phone/text messages to your phone if your child is recorded as absent and we have not received a telephone call.

Enforced School Closure

Inclement Weather
Before the school day starts - if it is felt that the school is unable to open, a decision
will be made by 7:30am on the morning concerned. Parents/Carers will be informed
of the decision as follows:

•City and county of Swansea website (www.swansea.gov.uk)
•The Wave/Swansea Sound
•Swansea Bay Radio

If at all possible, please do not telephone the school as we would like to ensure our
telephone lines are kept free for emergency use only.

During the school day – if the weather deteriorates during the school day and the
decision is made to close the school, a text message will be sent to all parents and
carers. Pupils will not be dismissed unless they have permission from parents and
carers to do so. Please DO NOT telephone the school unless there is an emergency.
Pupils will be supervised until they are collected or we have permission to send them
home.
